Ribs, Smoke & Sunshine!


Yesterday we had a gorgeous sunny and warm Sunday over here. What else to do on a beautiful day like that than fire up the smoker!? I had a bunch or baby back ribs waiting in the fridge. Removed the membrane from the ribs and sprinkled generously my basic BBQ rub with some added Colman's mustard powder on them.




Everything ready, time to throw in some apple tree. Oh, and maybe clean up the smoker again...



I love the smell of apple tree smoke in the morning!



Temps are perfect, now just have to sit and wait. Time for a beer. Every hour or so I sprayed apple cider vinegar on the ribs to keep them moist.



Lovely smoke!



Few hours and few beers later ribs are ready.



Coated them with BBQ sauce + honey mixture 30min before taking them out of the pit.



Served them with charcoal grilled pineapple salsa.


I LOVE ribs!

Seems that I have to come for a new inspection visit to see, is it possible to make them even better than they were last time!
